Tawhai Ban was not enough
according to a letter in this weeks Rugby Leaguer & League expressGeoffrey Bullock from Ackwork writes......
Latham Tawhai was originally suspended for two matches which was increased to three on appeal - even this welcome increase was not enough for a deliberate attack to the head which caused serious injury. I was there and saw the attack.
Rochdale's Martin Hall complains about the Disciplinary Panel - "inconsistent" and "a complete lottery". It's a pity that Tawhai wasn't before the Disciplinary Panel this week as they more realistically suspended Dean Sampson for six matches.
There are too many head tackles in our game. And the match officials are shirking their responsibility.
