Even more playoff confusion
It's all change - but no-one told us!
Hmm - apologies all round, I think. Having spoken to a Rugby League contact this morning I'm left with egg on my face. It seems that the RFL changed the playoff format back in August - but having informed the clubs, didn't inform too many of the media/press. Indeed a leading Rugby league magazine/website has been carrying the same playoff format as us right up until today and the RFL press officer didn't know what the difference in the formats was!. So Ray's right - and so's the Observer so sorry to our Chairman and Mike Floyd. And we apologise too to everyone we've inadvertently confused any further and we'll have a revised schedule here as soon as we've spoken to someone at RFL headquarters who knows what's going on.
This'll teach us to rely on the RFL.
