Hornets cleared in Robinson fiasco.
The ongoing saga involving estranged Hornets hooker Darren Robinsoin
has at last been resolved. Having made his case through a mud-slinging
media campaign, Robinson saw a tribunal find in favour of the club last
week. Quoted in the press yesterday, Ray Taylor said, "We received a fair
hearing and are delighted that the tribunal agreed that we did not persistently
breach his contract."
In a munificant gesture, Ray has also offered Robinson an opportunity
to resume his career with the club he mercilessly slagged off in a series
of bitter, high-profile interviews in the Rugby League press. "It's up
to Darren now," said Ray, "There is a doubt over Richard Pachniuk's fitness,
so he could get into the squad."
Given his year long sulk and his very public spat, the question remains
whether the squad would want him back.
