Don't forget what Paul Cullen had to say about the two teams in last week's Rugby Leaguer & League Express.
ROCHDALE HORNETS
POSITIVES: A terrific threequarter line bristling with pace and power, and in Paul Smith, one of the best forwards in the competition. In Martin Hall, they have a shrewd coach who can get the best out of his charges
NEGATIVES: Prone to lapses in concentration defensively, particularly late in games
KEY PLAYERS: Matt Calland, Casey Mayberry, Paul Smith
CULLEN SAYS: "Rochdale are a side that have been rejuvenated with the form of Paul Smith and Casey Mayberry, and the continued good form of right centre Matt Calland. They can be anything they want to be on the day."
VERDICT: The team most likely to upset the top two, but still outsiders
OLDHAM
POSITIVES: Player coach Steve Molloy leads an impressive pack that can provide real go-forward, and they have potential matchwinners in the shape of John Hough and Joe McNicholas
NEGATIVES: Not as strong in the centres as many of their rivals, and will have to do it tough from ninth place
KEY PLAYERS: Steve Molloy, Bryan Henare, John Hough
CULLEN SAYS: "Have had a resurgence under Steve Molloy, who leads by example. They are hitting good form at the right time of season. One thing that strikes me about Oldham is that they have great pace in the threequarters and the forwards lay the platform. It'll be a big ask for them to win at Hull Kingston Rovers but it's not out of the question."
VERDICT: Capable of upsets against teams above them, but won't emulate last year's Grand Final appearance
