History of the Nest Egg
We've come a long way in such a short space of time. Here's a brief history of the Nest Egg.
October 2006 : Curry night was a sell out and Mark Wynn announces the
Federation Shield trip.
September 2006 : Curry night is announced and the start of an
Events Committee.
September 2006 : There is
an update on the Nest-Egg finances.
August 2006 : Balloon race is announced
for this year.
June 2006 : Kevin Sinfield's autographed boots! A pair of brand new boots autographed by the Leeds and Gt. Britain player were on offer at the
latest Nest-Egg meeting.
April 2006 : The Spotland pitch
appeal is launched.
April 2006 : The Nest-Egg contributes to
trip to Wales.
March 2006 : The March meeting looks at the Spotland pitch and
R.L. community development.
February 2006 : X-rated photos prove that the
school disco is a big success.
December 2005 : A pre-season fundraiser is
launched.
November 2005 : Mark Wynn reports on the success of the
Tri-Nations trips.
October 2005 : More shares are purchased in the club at
October's meeting.
July 2005 : A fantastic event is thought up,
A ballon race. The results are fantastic and it becomes one of our
top fundraisers, we even have to pay out in Euros!
April 2005 : Hornets set a record challenge cup score against Illingworth, the Nest-Egg members launched
a special shirt to mark the event.
March 2005 : A Tri-nations signed shirt and the launch of the Hornets retro jersey all featured
in the March meeting.
January 2005 : It's meet the players time,
and the Nest-Egg helps out.
December 2004 : The Christmas meeting of the Nest-Egg.

April 2003 : Chairman Ray Taylor attends the meeting answering many questions from the members. A vote is held and £2000 is given to the club. Auction idea of a place on the next team photo
happens and eventually raises £250
March 2003 : First vote on the cash so far raised. Ray Taylor receives cheque for £1000 before the Oldham game
