Hornets Chairman Ray Taylor has assured Hull Kingston Rovers they will be paid their share of gate receipts from the recent play-off clash between the two clubs, after the initial cheque bounced.

Robins' chief executive Nick Halafihi had launched an attack in the Hull Daily Mail last week, but Taylor -who arrived back from holiday after the newspaper article - has moved to cool any potential row.

"I have assured both Nick and their Chairman Colin McNicholas that it will be paid," Taylor told 'Rugby Leaguer & League Express'.

"Since 1871 every bill Rochdale Hornets has had, has been paid - and there aren't too many clubs that can say that. We have never been into a CVA or gone bust and reformed.

"I will speak to Nick and Colin again, but I will say that we have not done, and never will renege on any bills."
