Hornets promise to pay
An article from this week's Rugby League Express has Ray Taylor explaining the situation with that recent cheque.Hornets Chairman Ray Taylor has assured Hull Kingston Rovers they will be paid their share of gate receipts from the recent play-off clash between the two clubs, after the initial cheque bounced.
Robins' chief executive Nick Halafihi had launched an attack in the Hull Daily Mail last week, but Taylor -who arrived back from holiday after the newspaper article - has moved to cool any potential row.
"I have assured both Nick and their Chairman Colin McNicholas that it will be paid," Taylor told 'Rugby Leaguer & League Express'.
"Since 1871 every bill Rochdale Hornets has had, has been paid - and there aren't too many clubs that can say that. We have never been into a CVA or gone bust and reformed.
"I will speak to Nick and Colin again, but I will say that we have not done, and never will renege on any bills."
