Yes to play-offs
The National League clubs today voted by a substantial majority to retain the sudden-death promotion decider from League One but they decided to modify the method of promotion from League Two to One and to remove the inter-divisional play-off.For the 2004 season, the National League Two table-toppers will be promoted automatically and their place in the League Two play-offs will be taken by the club finishing ninth in League One.
This means that two National League Two clubs will once more have the opportunity to be promoted, with the promotion play-off final played on the same day as the National League One Grand Final.
