Subs/donations for the coming year will be due (sorry) and we're hoping to exceed the superb amount we raised last year.

The meeting will also double as the official launch of our transition into a supporters' trust - something we hope to do as quickly as we can in 2004.
here's hoping I have a bit more luck with Supporters' Direct, the Trusts' governing body (they've been a little 'low profile' in their quest to help thus far).

In what promises to be a challenging season, Hornets' future more than ever depends on the efforts of those who have our proud old club's best interests at heart. Last year showed what's possible if Hornets fans get stuck in - and the Nest Egg turned out to be a positive, galvanising force that provides a focus for supporter concerns and efforts. The bigger we become (and the more we can contribute), the bigger and more influential the supporters' voice becomes.

As ever, we're backing our new coach Bobbie Goulding to the hilt as he takes on quite possibly the most challenging job in Rugby league at the moment. I'm going to give him a call to see if he can make the meeting, so supporters will have an opportunity to ask questions/offer their own messages of support prior to the start of the Arriva Trains Cup .

Also at the meeting will be 50% of the Sydney branch of the Hornets Supporters Club. So if he can come all this way, we hope you can too!
