Hornets train at Rakewood
Just in case you missed the news on the messageboard and in the Observer last week, the full story is as follows.
Littleborough Rugby Union Club have offered the use of their superb facilities at Rakewood to Hornets for training. And the rugby league club jumped at the chance.
Hornets' coach Bobbie Goulding and his players were welcomed to Littleborough by coach Lee
Durrant, rugby chairman Steve Blackburn and club chairman Brian Hurst.
Also present was Hornets chair-man Ray Taylor who was delighted with the new arrangement. "I'm thrilled to bits," he said. "It's some-thing we've needed for a long time.
"I know the people here, I was part of the Old Rochdalians many years ago. It's great and as Littleborough have said, once they have finished in April, we run through to September, and apart from the cricket square we'll have this tremendous facility to our-selves.
"I'm grateful to Steve, Brian and Lee, who has helped as much as any-body to bring it together."
