The family would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the distance to be travelled, but feel that it is vital that anyone who makes the effort to attend will be sheltered from the weather and feel part of the tribute to Rays life and work - and Blackley is the only crematorium big enough to ensure that everyone who wishes to attend is able to .

Barbara has also requested family flowers only but anyone wishing to make a donation in Rays memory can either choose to give to the RFL Benevolent Fund or alternatively to Rays favourite cause of all - The Hornets.
