Craig Robinson
Hornets have signed second rower Craig Robinson after he was released by Wakefield. Robinson, 20, made one Super League appearance for the Wildcats last season against London. But he was left out of their Boxing Day clash at Leeds at the last minute, and sought a release to seek first-team opportunities. Darren Abram had seen the player in action against London and in a number of Senior Academy games, and was quick to move.
"From what I've seen of him in those games, he's a Mick Cassidy type of forward,"' Abram said "He is a back-rower, but can slot in anywhere. He could have a stint at nine if we needed him to, and is tough enough to handle the situation at prop. "He runs nice lines out wide, and from the reports I've had back, he is very enthusiastic, has a good work ethic and wants to learn."
