Nest Egg thanks go to the DJs who donated their services free; Sue, Dave and the stadium staff for their usual welcome effort - and the fact that they all turned up in uniform too; and to Derek whose unparalleled sales technique on the Raffle raised £80+.

Thanks too to Spelly of Swinton who came with his own crew of 'schoolgirls' - your support for our events is always very much appreciated.

Special thanks to Dave Withington who covered the cost of the food - which helped maximise our profits; and thanks to Mark Wynn and his in-house band of helpers for heating up/dishing up the food.

The evening did raise OVER £400 (I'll know precisely when I do the bank run, but it's looking somewhere in the region of £410-ish), which is - again - a remarkable effort from some most generous people.

Ideally, we'd have liked another 30-or so to really fill the room out, but as an out-of-season event, we can't be too churlish about the amount raised.

So if you did come, thanks very much - and if you didn't, please do come and support our next event. We need as many people as possible to get behind us and ensure that these events succeed. Because the more we can raise, the more we can invest in Rochdale Hornets.
