Confirmation has just been received by the club that cup Sponsors Carnegie will be bringing the Challenge Cup itself to lunch at Spotland. Pre match diners will have the opportunity to be photographed with this most famous piece of Rugby League history.

Carnegie are keen that as many clubs as possible have access to the cup, so at 3pm the Cup will then travel to Castleford to be seen by their fans.

In addition Oldham Boy Barrie McDermott will also be joining us for lunch.

Anyone wishing to join us for lunch has until 11am Saturday to confirm their place. Someone will be in the Hornets office until 5pm today and from 9am tomorrow morning.
