Dewsbury Rams v Hornets
Josh Weedon (fractured fibia) is definitely missing for Andy Kelly’s Rams outfit. Pity I loved "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", didn’t you? However, new signing Joe Helme could make his first appearance after moving from York City Knights.
Kelly said: “Our injuries are wreaking havoc at the moment. It’s not the sole reason behind our form but it has an effect.
“If you look at Rochdale’s playing staff, you know there’s some capability. We’ve got to guard against thinking there is an easy passage for us this year – they’ve played four and lost four and that makes them a very dangerous side.”
Hornets’ boss Darren Abram is dealing with a series of injury concerns after only 10 players trained on Tuesday night.
Abram said: “Hopefully most of the lads with bumps and bruises will be OK by the weekend.
“Dewsbury have a nice mix of experience and youth and you’ve got to be mentally strong to play the conditions on the pitch.
“It’s a tough ask. Both teams are desperate for a win and the one that makes the least mistakes and gives away the fewest penalties will probably get the points.”
