Remember the day when Hornets won the City of Salford sevens competition held at Swintons station road. Well the date was Sunday 5th August 1990 but anyone who was there can't have forgotten it....... Alan Agar was the coach A Hornets team that included Martin Hall and club stalwart Karl Marriott. A nice sunny day, there weren't many of those to be had at Swinton Twenty pence for a programme, what a rip off, Twenty pence for a sheet of A4 paper. Oh and I nearly forgot Hornets WON! WON! WON! WON!
